Apple's iOS 10 features – An overview
Finally, Apple’s much-awaited iOS 10 beta is out for the public. It is seen as one of the major updates for the mobile operating system, in the recent years. Apple has packed iOS 10 with numerous new and cool features which have been creating a wave of excitement among the avid Apple users.
Here, we will present some of the mind-blowing features that make iOS 10, one of the most talked about updates by Apple.
Instant access to (lot of) information even while the screen is locked Unlike the older versions, where you can see just one notification, iOS 10 offers a bunch of widget on the lock-screen itself. This allows you to instantly access the information and quickly do the stuff. You can have a check on the weather or have a look at the calendar to see the next day schedule and even make a call to one of your favorite contacts, right from the screen. Moreover, you can customise it – therefore, you can just ditch any default application for your favourite app like The New York Times to get a quick look at what is happening around the world. The Photos app has a new tab in it called "Memories," and it automatically gathers up some of your best moments from certain places and time periods.
Photos app automatically creates short videos. With iOS 10 in your phone, the photo applications automatically create short videos. It comes with a cool feature called memories. It enables the user to look back at the major life-events, especially when you have thousands of photos on your phone. On clicking Memories, it redirects you to the photo gallery, along with featuring automatically created video, with music at the top.
You can now delete the default apps by Apple. Most of us generally have two folders on our iPhone where we keep the Default Apps and rarely used application. And often trash in the better place for these folders. With iOS 10, you can easily get rid of such unwanted or rarely used apps such as Find Friends, Stocks, or Apple's default email. We see a lot of people like to use some third-party apps and are not really keen about Apple's defaults app. Therefore, this minor change happens to be a pleasant addition. With each version, we see something new and unique in iOS. Like its predecessor, iOS 10 seems to have an array of exciting features, which would play an important role in changing user experience.
