Olympics Promoted in Brazil and Canada By Facebook with its MSQRD features and Camera Feed
Come Olympics and everyone is unleashing innovative ways to keep themselves ahead in the race of updates, fun, and some games. Facebook too has decided to make most of this opportunity and truly put to use its MSQRD feature to good use by deploying a new feature CameraFeed above the NewsFeed feature of Facebook. This outstanding feature now allows users to add a dash of drama with filters and animations to their selfies. However at present only those users in Canada and Brazil can utilize this new facebook feature.
Earlier this year, Facebook acquired an app similar to Snapchat powered by MSQRD. This camera features enable Facebook users residing in brazil and Canada to display a screen banner that says ‘celebrate the Olympic games’. In addition, it facilitates users to be able to add effects with the help of masks, filters to their photos that they can directly share on Facebook. Though out for use in brazil and Canada, the feature introduced by Facebook is not in its expansive stage yet and it is still undecided whether they will take it to more countries. MSQRD has just only debuted through a Facebook product. However, it is not just the first time that Facebook has used MSQRD in one of its services as it was sometime back that it used the MSQRD’s filters in Facebook’s live streaming features. It looks like the need of the time for Facebook to come up with something new and innovative and not avoid being repetitive by using Snapchat’s features. It looks like a time for Facebook to break the monotony and please its users with something reformative. It wasn’t too long back enough that Facebook had launched two apps like SnapChat clone. Not just that Facebook also tried developing similar features to SnapChat in some of its main applications. Recent reports also suggest that in order to attract more users who like to share photos and videos, another standalone app development is already underway at Facebook. “We are also working on new tools to help people express themselves and understand what’s going on with the people they care about. Ten years ago, most of what we shared and consumed online was text. Now it’s photos. And soon, most of it will be videos. We see the world that is video first, with video at the heart of all of our apps and services.” Zuckerberg said on a conference call with investors last month. This being an experimental stage; at this stage the mode of the camera is not defined by Facebook and the camera will open in selfie or rear mode. Whichever mode the user last uses becomes the default view until the next time he uses it again. Facebook will also detect automatically the users permit to camera use. Facebook is getting into AR selfies filters, Stories and News Feed just like SnapChat. Facebook is getting ahead aggressively with new changes indeed!
